Media Foundation 360, under the banner of Newslens, arranged an E- Seminar on “Accuracy in news” on Thursday, 19thFebruary 2015. The interactive session was held by senior journalist Hasan Khan, senior journalist and media development practitioner Michelle Betz and senior journalist Mubasher Bukhari. The webinar lasted for two hours in which media students and professionals from print and broadcast media participated to discuss accuracy in news. The purpose of this webinar was to introduce participants of general guidelines and checklist to make sure their news story is accurate and based on facts. Participants were told how to gather and use sources, how to cross check the facts and the importance to validate the authenticity of documentary evidence.
