Media Foundation 360 is thrilled to announce its collaboration with UNESCO on the groundbreaking project titled “Strengthening Media and Information Literacy Policy Framework in Pakistan,” under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Savera Mujib Shami. This initiative aims to create a robust and sustainable Media and Information Literacy (MIL) environment by actively engaging policymakers, duty-bearers, academia, civil society, and other key stakeholders in Pakistan. The primary objective of this project is to build a strong consensus around the importance of MIL and to work towards its institutionalization across various sectors.
During the inception phase, Prof. Dr. Savera Mujib Shami led a series of productive and insightful meetings with relevant stakeholders. These discussions laid the groundwork for collaborative efforts and highlighted the shared commitment to advancing MIL in Pakistan. The engagement of diverse voices from across the spectrum is essential in ensuring that the MIL framework is comprehensive, inclusive, and reflective of the needs of all segments of society.
We are confident that this project will pave the way for significant advancements in media literacy and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the country. Media Foundation 360 is proud to be part of this important endeavor and looks forward to the continued success of this initiative as it moves forward.
