Lahore: The orientation session of the Project “Every Step Counts” with Faculty members from Social Sciences Departments took place at the Communications Studies Department PU, Lahore on 21 June 2021.
The purpose of this session was to discuss the criteria for the selection of the students for societies. Project Director, Mubasher Bukhari briefed the participants about this project. He also requested for their support and suggestions to make this project successful. Faculty members also asked questions related to the project and shared challenges that could be faced by team Media Foundation 360.
The Project Manager, Mr. Hasnain Tirmazi explained the objective of student societies and faculty training. He also requested the faculty members to recommend students from their respective departments for student societies so that they can be trained to become peace ambassadors. The participants assured that they would recommend students for this purpose.
Mr. Akram Soomro, Head of the Radio Station at the Department of Communication Studies told the team of Media Foundation 360 about the impact of its radio station across the campus and the area around it. He said that this radio station is a big strength of the university and should be used effectively to promote the message of peace, tolerance, and harmony. The session was followed by a question-answer session where the participants shared their views, concerns, and challenges.
