U.S. Government and MF 360 Launch Initiative to Enhance U.S.-Pakistan Partnership Awareness Through Reporting Tours

With the funding from the U.S. Government and in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Karachi, Media Foundation 360 (MF 360) is proud to announce the launch of the transformative initiative, “Increasing Awareness of the U.S.-Pakistan Partnership Through Reporting Tours.” This 18-month project aims to enhance awareness of the U.S.-Pakistan partnership by conducting reporting tours across Sindh and Balochistan provinces, empowering local rural broadcast, and digital journalists, as well as emerging social media influencers, to improve their skills and create a robust network of well-informed professionals. By facilitating immersive experiences, the project provides firsthand insights into the multifaceted dimensions of U.S. programs and assistance in Pakistan.

With a strong focus on fostering media engagement, the project will train 120 local broadcast and digital journalists and emerging social media influencers from rural areas of Sindh and Balochistan. The training will include both formal and informal tools, opportunities for journalists to meet and collaborate, and will feature both in-person and virtual opportunities. Through immersive reporting tours, training workshops, and dialogues, MF 360, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate General Karachi, seeks to bridge the critical information gap and combat misrepresentations that often overshadow the complexities of the bilateral relationship.

Key Deliverables of the Project:

• Training/Workshops and Reporting Tours: The project will include training sessions and workshops, as well as reporting tours in Sindh and Balochistan. These activities will involve engagements with experts, policymakers, and community leaders to better understand and report on the U.S.-Pakistan partnership. A written or broadcast deliverable will be required at the conclusion of the reporting tour.

• Empowering Media Voices: The project aims to equip and empower media voices to contribute to a well-informed public discourse, fostering a constructive and balanced narrative on U.S.-Pakistan relations. By creating a robust network of journalists, experts, and media professionals, the project seeks to lay the groundwork for continued engagement and deeper mutual understanding.
